Finally… Merenda nell’Oliveta!
After two postponements due to bad weather, today — May 4th — we made it: Merenda nell’Oliveta finally took place! Even though the sky didn’t look promising, we showed up optimistic… and full of enthusiasm.
The morning began with the setup of the drawings created by the children of the primary schools of Malcesine and Scalette, and the middle school of Castelletto. An explosion of colours and creativity, showcasing the imagination and dedication of the youngest participants.
At exactly 2:30 PM, the first group of children set off for “Il Tesoro di Campo”, a special treasure hunt woven from true stories and fantastic tales connected to our territory. The narrator was Zia Anita, a real historical figure from Brenzone who devoted her life to the village — a precious guide on a journey through memories and wonder.
Awaiting them in Campo were moments of pure joy: face painting, creative workshops, and drawing activities that involved everyone with cheerful energy.
A heartfelt thank‑you goes to all those who made this possible: volunteers, schools, families, and the young guides.
Then came the performances: Il Bosco di Erin, the lively OLD PEPPERS JASS BAND, and… the rain. Yes, a light but persistent rain accompanied us — yet it didn’t spoil the magic. Quite the opposite: watching the children run through the small natural theatre, and families sitting peacefully under umbrellas enjoying the shows, was the real spectacle.
The day ended with smiles and umbrellas, hearts full of emotions, stories, and beauty. Merenda nell’Oliveta has returned — and it did so with all its poetry.
