A project born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Brenzone sul Garda and the University of Verona, aimed at studying and enhancing the cultural landscape of Campo. The initiative involves students and researchers in a multidisciplinary path that includes anthropology, architecture, history, and territorial analysis.
During the fieldwork, participants explored the village, met residents, and collected stories, memories, and perspectives that help preserve the identity of this unique place. The project also includes moments of sharing with the community, where the collected materials are presented and discussed.
Project Colocon strengthens the relationship between the academic world and the territory, offering new tools to understand Campo and support its future development.
We are pleased to announce that the Teatro degli Ulivi, led by Prof. Alexandra Chavarría Arnau, has participated in — and won — the CHANGES‑CREST call with the COLOCON project. An important recognition that rewards our commitment to sustainable cultural tourism, capable of valuing the territory and involving people.
On Saturday, May 10 at 6 p.m., at the Garda Family House, Prof. Alexandra Chavarría Arnau will present the COLOCON project, promoted by the Teatro degli Ulivi in collaboration with the University of Padua. The project will recount the history of the village of Campo through a participatory research process, including a summer school in July and an international conference in October. At its core is the creation of a community archive to preserve the memory of Brenzone.
We look forward to seeing you there.
